My Favorite Spring Locations in Connecticut

Tomorrow is April and the beginning of my favorite time in Connecticut! Well, that’s debatable because I’m sure I’ve said the same thing in autumn. I’m hoping to continue to find new places to enjoy spring in Connecticut but here are my favorites from years past.

Colorblends House & Spring Garden

Location: 893 Clinton Ave, Bridgeport. Visit between April 1-May 7, 2023.

Laurel Ridge Daffodils

Location: Wigwam Rd, Litchfield. Ideal visiting, end of April. Wrote about this last year.

Glebe House Museum & The Gertrude Jekyll Garden

Location: 49 Hollow Rd, Woodbury. Visit mid April to late April.

Old Newtown Police Station Park

I’m not sure if this park has an official name! It’s at the corner of Main St and Glover Ave in Newtown, next door to the old police station. I walked around there last spring, sat in the gazebo and soaked in the smell of the lilacs. Visit first half of May.

Boothe Memorial Park

Location: 580 Main St. Stratford. Visit early to mid June, wait for the roses to bloom!

Elizabeth Park and the Helen S. Kaman Rose Garden

Location: 1561 Asylum Ave, West Hartford. Visit in April and May for early spring flowers and in June for the roses. I visit multiple times!

In June when the roses bloom

Again, my post last year has the daffodil field, the highlight of my spring 2022, and where to see the dogwoods and cheery blossoms in Fairfield. I am happy to say goodbye March and hello April!
