I can still feel the hot sun on my cheeks, the warm water washing over my toes while I take a deep breath of island life. Ahhhh, peace washes over me.
I usually pack all my belongings in one carry-on bag and I did NOT for this trip. I knew I wasn’t doing laundry and I would be sweaty, therefore rewearing clothes was going to be limited. I was correct.
I only brought two pairs of shorts, the pink ones below (Boden) and a Target jean short pair. Other than that I wore dresses and coverups. For shoes I flew and wore to dinner a few times my black Salt Water sandals and then only brought two pairs of flip flops. That’s it for shoes!

The prints!

This Anthropologie dress above was one of my favorite to wear! It sold out ridiculously fast. Haven’t found anything similar but I do love this one too.
I brought four swimsuits with me but mostly wore these two:

I have had this Anthropologie hat for a couple of years and I love to travel with it because it is snug enough to stay on even with a wind blowing but breathable so I don’t sweat in it. Has been well worth the $50 I paid for it. It’s the rancher style, similar here.
Honestly the only thing I would have packed differently would have been warmer pajamas! It was cold in our room at night and I slept in the hotel provided bathrobe many of the nights, even after adjusting the air conditioning. Glad the issue wasn’t the other way around with it being too hot in the room 🙂
What’s your favorite thing to pack for a tropical vacation?
