Traveling south in April can be tricky for packing. Do you bring pants and warmer layers? How many swimsuits are necessary? When thinking of what to pack for this trip I said yes to all of it. I’m not one to normally overpack but there were too many unknowns for Charleston. From a sweatshirt to several bathing suits to shorts and dresses and jeans, I packed it all.
Here are some of my outfits from the trip:
On both driving days I wore the same outfit- sneakers, stretchy jeans, a t-shirt and hoodie over it. This pic was on the way home and my hair was not having it so I wore the hat anytime I got out of the car. In terms of purses and bags I bought a backpack with me and a small straw bag. In terms of other bags, I always travel with some empty reusable shopping bags, they come in handy for beach days too.
This T.J.Maxx dress was by far the most worn item from my trip. I wore it alone, with a t-shirt over it tied and with my jean jacket. I love the layers of the dress and how it twirls, so fun!
I wore this dress to Magnolia Plantation and felt like I fit in with the landscape lol
I did bring a couple of swimsuits but mostly wore this one that is a few years old from Target. The pool water was so cold so I didn’t swim but the ocean was a lot warmer than I thought and we had fun splashing around at the beach.
