Early Fall Styles 2025

I shared on my socials a post about easing into September. I mentally need to prepare myself for summers end and shared how I do that, see here on Facebook. One of those ways is to give my style a refresh with an autumn flair. Here are some of my early fall styles lately.

Wide Legs

My two wide leg pants I’ve been rotating are my favorite Frame denim and my Paige brown wide legs. Both are super comfortable, wash and dry well and match with a wide variety of tops in my closet. The wider, straight leg jean is flattering for lots of body types. I find they pair well with sandals, flats, low profile sneakers and heels. For a cooler morning or evening, I would pop on a light cardigan over this outfit below.

For colored wide legs pants, I chose a heavier material for autumn. Giving the pant some structure allows for a slimming look.

Midi Skirts

Nothing yells autumn to me like a moody plaid! I mentioned back in July how I’m shopping more consciously, less and buying more quality. This midi skirt is just that. A bit of a splurge but I knew it would be an excellent fabric, wash like new each time and be a staple for many years. I created a reel on a few looks, see that here.

Dresses

Dresses are perfect for transitioning to fall! No surprise there. They can be worn with sneakers and flats on warmer days and boots on cooler ones. A jean jacket over and you’ve got a perfect early fall style. Wore this outfit below on a cooler evening.

Mules/ Loafers

Swapping out the sandals for a mule or loafer is a great transition to autumn for your style. A pair of Birkenstocks have been on my wishlist for a couple of years. I found the exact ones I was looking for at HSN (linked here) and pulled the trigger. I LOVE them! They are a blend of a mule and loafer.

Waffle Knits

As seen in the picture above, waffle knits are everywhere. I took my two teen girls to the mall for back to school shopping and every single store had waffle knit tops. I love Dudley Stevens and grabbed one of theirs while it was on sale (linked here). It’s a great piece to toss on when I’m cold and the green color is a fav of mine.
