Last year around this time I shared my favorite styles from the whole year, broken down into seasons (click here for that), and I’m continuing the tradition for this year. The beginning of the year was heavily influenced by Wednesday (see my blog post on that here) and as the year continued and I let my gray hair grow out, (see my post on Fairfield County Mom on that here) I tended to focus on simplicity. I still love pops of color here and there though! Here are my favorite looks, my 2023 style year.

Winter
The theme I see when I look at these pictures is “I can’t believe how many times I wore this!” From a dress to a sweatshirt to sandals, I have several pieces I wore so many times in 2023, they undoubtedly are my favorites.
This expensive Mickey Mouse sweatshirt was a highlight from last winter. It’s amazing.
This second hand Erdem dress that I bought to wear to Broadway in February was the single best item I bought in 2023. I wore this dress so many times over the year, I can’t even believe it. I felt fabulous every time I had it on.
Spring
I bought this Amazon dress to wear in Disney in April and again, wore it so many times all spring and summer. It is comfortable, washes well and I felt cute.
Again, another favorite sweatshirt. I can’t believe how much I wore sweatshirts this year! This one is from Anthropologie and I bought it after traveling to Philly in March, when I realized the first time I went to Philly was in 1992. It was like they made this sweatshirt just for me.
Summer
I wore these vegan Birkenstocks all summer and even into autumn. They were my favorite shoe of 2023.
Two dresses I bought from the 2023 summer Nordstrom anniversary sale are in this blog post, the first here below. I’ve been happy every time I’ve put on this dress. It’s great for a good twirl too :) which of course I did before and after this photo was taken in the Catskills this summer.
Autumn
Here is the second dress from the sale, one I wore many times over autumn. It brought me back to my Wednesday styles I’ve loved this year and felt like a natural Halloween style dress.
My favorite casual outfit the last couple of months has been this one below. My friends introduced me to Dudley Stevens and I now have two of their fleece tops. They work for a casual day, a hike or even with a skirt. Great versatility! In several of my photos in this blog post I have on my shorter Hunter boots and I have been wearing them since the day I bought them back in July.
Bonus autumn favorite style was during fashion week, wearing another second hand dress I wore several times over the year. This dress brings forth lots of compliments and attention!

The first half of my 2024 includes a lot of travel and therefore a lot of packable and simple mix and match styles. Sounds perfect. Stay cute for you!
