It’s that time of year! I usually do some autumn shopping each year at the Nordstrom sale and am here to share my favorites. A part of me hates thinking about fall already, when so much summer is still left. But I’m reminded of my childhood. My mom would take us to pick out our back to school clothes and items in July. She would put everything on lay-away and make weekly payments. We would get everything right before school started. I think of the sale like that; back to school clothes that aren’t needed yet but are ready when the time comes. Here have been my favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025.

Dresses
I knew I wanted to try on the Free People dress below and ended up loving it. I also found a blue floral long sleeve dress, one that didn’t seem too exciting online, but is much better in person.
Free People sweatshirt dress~ I had seen this dress in the gray color on a girl in a movie recently. She wore it with lace up Doc Martens and looked cute. I love it with my new tall Blondo boots. I sized down to an XS in it and am wearing bike shorts under. Will be a great item to add layers under as the weather gets colder. Tights and that long sleeve top above will warm the look up.
Chelsea 28 floral dress ~ Great for early fall! I love this outfit below.
Footwear
I knew ahead of time I was in the market for new black knee high boots and causal sneakers. I ended up getting both those plus a new pair of heals. I will have campaign events this autumn and wanted a neutral comfortable pair to wear with many outfits. Here are my picks:
Blondo boots ~ (see picture above). I got to know Blondo last spring. When packing and planning for Paris I wanted a waterproof bootie. I read how a lot of European women love their Blondo waterproof boots. I bought a short black pair back then. When looking at the Nordstrom sale this year I was happy to see many Blondo boots. I chose some great waterproof ones! They are on the pricer side, but worth it.
Dolce Vita navy sneakers ~ I wanted a darker color that wasn’t brown or black. The navy goes with all my denim plus some of my dress pants and dresses. A win for me!
Cole Haan heals ~ I tried these on in store and loved them!
Bottoms
I tried some jeans and didn’t like any! I went with a brown pair and that was it.
Paige brown pants ~ I have loved Paige for years and find the Nordstrom Anniversary sale the best deal on them. I tried these pants on in store and they were incredibly comfortable. A keeper!
Tops
I went with one short sleeve, one long sleeve and a blouse. Here are my picks:
Casual gray t-shirt ~ these ts are soft and comfortable!
Striped top ~ I love these for wearing on their own and wearing under sweaters when it’s colder out. They wash well too!
Wayf blouse ~ I’ll be writing about this blouse more this autumn! A neutral blouse to make dressing super easy.
Misses:
I did buy some items I did not keep. I didn’t like the blazer below, just didn’t fit me right. The mini skirt is cute but I ended up giving it to my 14 yr old daughter instead! Will be better on her :) (Both of these items are sold out now)
The sale runs until August 3rd! I am finding that Nordstrom is restocking items consistently. If you put items on your wishlist and set up email notifications, they will let you know the status of stocked/out of stock. Have you purchased any good sale items lately?
