Love as a black and white movie,
Adding color over time.
Painting my heart shades of passion.
Love as a seed we plant in spring,
Unhurried patience for growth.
Taking that risk to blossom.
Love as the seconds of first life,
Welcoming tears when needed.
Allowing for our growth and change.
Love as the front porch chairs slow down,
Breathing in the winds of age.
Embracing my regard eternally.
Love as a forever gift to give,
Enhancing the flowers of life.
Side by side, hand in hand, souls fused.
