Ways to Style Neutral Pants in 2024

Last week you may have read my early 2024 style trends blog post (see it here), and today I’m diving in to one of those trends, neutral pants. You can call them khaki pants, tan pants, trousers; some are pleated, some are not, but hopefully you understand the kind of pant I’m discussing here today :)

My neutral pant is from Cider and they don’t have pleats and have a bit of a weight to them, making the pant a perfect option for winter. I like that my pair have front seams, giving the pant a nicer look. Here are some ways to style neutral pants in 2024, broken down by occasions.

Casual

Business Casual

One easy way to make the outfit above turn into a business casual outfit is to swap out the shoes for a healed loafer and add a hair accessory. Wearing nylons underneath is needed for a cold day.

Another business casual look for neutral pants is to go with an all natural/monotone look; wear a top in a similar color. This light colored cashmere sweater works with most of the pants in my closet actually. I added a red flat for a pop of color.

Business

I love the look of neutral pants with a floral blouse, adding in some color obviously, but a nice dressed up touch. Of course to make the outfit business ready, add a trusty black blazer. Always have a well fitted black blazer ready to go!
