How To Create Style Recipes

I touched on the subject of style recipes in my last blog post, a way to organize my closet and put together outfits easily. Style recipes is a concept I came up with randomly and I’m going with it!

I created a style recipe card for you all. You can print it, save it and write on it, whatever you want to make your style life easier. I often have times where I stare at my closet and feel unsure what to put together based on what looks good and the season and the weather for the day and what I’m doing that day. I’m an over thinker.

I edit mine in the Canva app, but downloading this image and editing in PicsArt is likely to be easier for you. Here’s my style recipe for today:

And here’s the step by step of my building of this outfit. It’s similar to my style recipe from Monday, the base being a dark jean and tank top.

Liverpool skinny jeans via Stitch Fix, Target tank
Target blouse ( I usually buy cheap with white base items, they get messy, smelly, stained way too easily in my life)
Sweater from Stitch Fix. Did a front tuck to give some shape.
Would definitely wear this for a winter date night, ya know, post pandemic. Heels are Chelsea Crew via ModCloth, bag is vintage Coach from a thrift store
How I wore this style recipe for the day. Sneakers are P4 from Evereve. Mirror and little gnome are from Target

I like this style recipe because I have many winter sweaters I can mix it up with. I can swap out the jeans for the gray ones from my Monday post. I have straight leg jeans that would work and ankle boots to switch it up as well. The base wardrobe of today’s outfit and Monday’s outfit, the jeans and tank, works from fall to winter to spring.

What do you think of the style recipe concept?
