Three Ways To Style Plaid Pants for Fall

For some reason autumn brings out the plaid in me. From flannels to blankets to pants, I’m here for it. In true 2020 style, I love a good pair of leggings, especially ones that are not tight with a little wiggle room and a slightly more of an opening at the ankle. These Anthropologie plaid pants fit the bill perfectly for me. I like a plaid that doesn’t have too many colors, they are easier to mix and match with.

Here are three ways I’m styling plaid pants for fall:

A casual look with a graphic t-shirt. I like to offset the casual vibe with a nicer looking shoe; these loafers fit the bill.

T-shirt from Etsy, loafers are Dr. Scholls via Nordstrom (affiliate link)icon, backpack is from Stitch Fix (referral link)

A dressed up look, adding a blouse and blazer, heeled booties.

Also works with a faux suede jacket instead of the blazer.

Jacket from Anthropologie (similars)

Something unexpected, a dress over pants.

Dress is Michael Kors via Trunk Club (similar), long cardigan from White House Black Market (similar)

Here are some other plaid pants I’m loving:

If you are looking for something looser, not a legging, these Anthropologie ones are nice

A cheaper option from Target ~ always a good idea to save money on something that is more trendy, if you aren’t thinking a plaid pant will be in your wardrobe for years to come.

These Banana ones are cute with a touch of pink

Are you wearing plaid pants this fall?
